FEM x MDN DEEP LEARNING & AI workshop series

For the past 2 years, FEM and Monash Deep Neuron (MDN) have partnered up to deliver a series of workshops that cover both the technical and theoretical aspects of deep learning and AI whilst also diving into the social implications of these advancements. During these workshops, students have been able to learn Python coding skills as well as discuss the future of AI tech.

FEM Powertools workshop

FEM finally hosted our Powertools Workshop (after many covid lockdown postponements) in-person and we learnt how to build a simple wooden laptop stand! Overall, it was a great opportunity for students to become more confident working with powertools, look at the processes going into designing better quality parts and learn some basic practical skills in sanding, sawing, drilling and more, that can be used in our day-to-day lives!
