Social events form an integral part in creating a sense of community and belonging at WEM. We host a wide variety of events for our members to come and meet other students with similar passions and interests. These events encourage a space for discussion and an opportunity to grow your network in a welcoming environment.
2022 O-WEEK WITH FEM
FEM’s O-Week Stall was a great opportunity for new and returning students to chat to committee, renew their FEMbership, pick up some merchandise from some of our sponsors and find out about all of our exciting upcoming events!
KNOCK ‘N’ ROLL BOWLING NIGHT
Committee and FEMbers had such a fun night knocking down some pins at our rock’n’roll - themed bowling night (even if bumpers were part of the journey)! And it was a great opportunity to meet some of our newest committee members too!
FEM Picnic
Free food, nice weather and good tunes made this year’s O-week picnic with FEM great fun! It was nice to have a chat with some of our newest FEMbers about how excited they were to start engineering at Monash!

It was a very fun night! We got to meet some new faces and we socialised with our pals. We started of the semester with a bang!
2022 CHOC-OGM
This year’s OGM was a great success! FEMbers listened to reports given by our executive committee members and then witnessed the elections for our newest committee positions - 1st and 2nd year representatives! All the while, everyone enjoyed a variety of chocolate-themed goodies!
FEM Cocktail Night
FEM had their annual FEM Cocktail Night! It was the perfect opportunity for the FEM community to make new friends, rewind after a stressful week, and enjoy a fun night out!
STRESS-LESS HANGOUT
Committee spent some quality time together drinking aromatic chai, enjoying some delicious snacks and playing board games! It was a nice opportunity to have a break from study at such a busy point in the semester.
